Since September 2020 Kapitein Anna is also open as á la carte restaurant and is characterized by recognizable dishes.

The style of the kitchen is French with Norwegian, Dutch and Mediterranean influences. For dinner for groups, these can be fully assembled as desired. The content of the menu is often changed. As with all the good restaurants, we use local products and of biological origin as much as possible.

Restaurant Kapitein Anna distinguishes herself with "old-fashioned" craftsmanship in the kitchen as well as in the service. Of course, the flavors and cooking techniques are contemporary, the knowledge of goods, with the right herbs and their combinations are solid.

Á la carte dining

according to RIVM regulations (Covid-19)

Due too the layout of the Kapitein Anna, it is possible to make safe tables for small groups. Added to that we have special screens we can put on and around the tables/units to separate your party from the others. Our capacity is maximum 100 persons downstairs and 40 upstairs, so it is easy to keep 1,5 m. distance. You are also welcome for a cup of coffee and to have a look at the boat.

The Kapitein Anna is easily accessible by public transportation. There is also sufficient (paid) parking space and even with your own boat you can moor close to the NDSM pier.

Atmosphere

It will only be a success when the quality of food, the atmosphere, the music and any entertainment, the kindness of the service, the special interior of the hall or the terrace, all contribute.

For larger parties

Kapitein Anna is also restaurant for larger groups. Hire the entire ship, or just one deck. It is the best accommodation for your company:

  • The core of the team (management, chef and party manager) has been working together organizing group events for 15 years. From the start we went for top quality and have learned that this was a wise decision. The lines are short and clear.
  • Due to our specialization in groups, we are flexible in the possibilities. We do not need to focus on a target or type of kitchen.
  • Our chef Richard Winkel has worked with several top chefs and gained experience in restaurants in 4 countries in North and South Europe and Asia. We can really prepare everything.
  • The paddle steamer is a registered Sailing Monument from 1911 with a rich history. The rich decor with copper, mahogany wood and plush remains atmospheric.
  • The wide view over the IJ and Noordzeekanaal is probably the most beautiful of Amsterdam (especially in the evening).
  • Both on the main deck and on the floor is a large terrace.
  • Kapitein Anna has 2 salons, the Radersalon on the main deck with up to 130 seats and the Panorama Salon upstairs with up to 70 seats for a sitting dinner. For walking dinners the maximum capacity is approximately 300 guests. Due to the Corona-restrictions these amounts are limited to 100 persons downstairs and 40 in the panoramasaloon for the time being!
